I Love Online Games: Try Alter Space!

When I was in college, I used to play free online games in Popcap, Miniclip, Reflexive and other online game site. Facebook is not yet known and Friendster doesn't have any application at that time. What I remember is that I was once addicted to Diner Dash a very popular game under PlayFirst. Who would forget Flo and her restaurant? So time passes by, Facebook is now more popular than any other social networking sites. And what makes it more popular is that they are not just there to makes friends but also it has so many applications to play.

I am so happy that a lot of games in facebook will teach you so many lessons.  In Farmville, you will learn on how to grow crops, trees and fruits as well as learning how to take good care of your pets when playing Petville. But have you ever thought  that there's a game on how to take care your planet in a proper way?

YOUR OWN PLANET - Is your house a mess? Well, how about taking care of an entire planet? Alter Space lets gamers protect their own planets by reducing their carbon Footprint.

This is the first New Filipino-Developed Environmental Awareness game on Facebook. This was developed by AboitizPower, their aim is to educate gamers like us on how to reduce carbon footprint. This game is so easy to play but hard to do in real life. A lot of us is so careless in our environment that they tend to do things that can really harm our nature.

Living Room

March 26, 2011 is Earth Hour. Alter Space made a mini-game to learn more about what should we do to give support in Earth Hour. A gamer was given two minutes to move around the house using the arrow keys to switch off all appliances by pressing the space bar. When an appliance was turned off you will gain "currentcy" also that you can use in buying some items inside your house or it can be the payment when you wanted to buy something. You will be given 5 times a day to play this game, but you can also play this as much as you want but you will no longer gain any currentcy.

DEFROST THE FRIDGE REGULARLY - That's a tip from Alter Space. Playing the game generates Earth-friendly tips that save energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Maybe some of you wold ask me what carbon footprint is. I actually don't know it but when i started to play this game, I now can understand what it is. This is the amount of carbon gas emission that a particular human activity releases into our planet. The more carbon emissions are released, the warmer our planet gets and that could harm our environment and our life. I cannot believe that we are doing simple practices that really harms our environment: these are by driving a car, cooking hamburgers, baking pastries, using household appliances, etc. I want to preserve a healthy environment for my future kids.

ALTER SPACE will teach us how to make a very good decision by choosing a right choice not just to make you happy but also minimizing one's carbon footprint. This game is so cute that anyone would love. This two cute characters will brighten up your day everytime you see them while playing this game. You can rename your planet into something that you really like. It's your own planet, every little thing you do will affect your planet. If you didn't show any care in your planet, your planet will be foggy. So be careful in making decision. Take good care our planet and everything will turn out perfect!

Avida Tower Centera's 3D Street Painting Festival

PAINTINGS. This is the way artists express their thoughts and their feelings. We can see their masterpieces in some museums and art galleries. Their creations are usually seen in a 4 sided frame hanging on the wall and not in pavements.

I received a text from Ms. Judy Teo from Chris Cahilig Consultancy. She's inviting me to a "3D Street Painting Event". Wait, I may have read it wrong! How does "Painting", "3D" and "Street"  mix together? All I know is that paintings are made in a cloth or a paper and enclosed in a frame and it must be put in a wall.

After I received her message, what i did was to check "3d STREET PAINTING" in google. Then I saw a lot of street paintings done in a different countries. I was amazed and I told myself... I must see this!

AVIDA TOWERS CENTERA is giving a chance for our Pinoy Artists to show their talents in making a 3D Street Paintings. They made a two-day event that started last March 18-19, 2011. Their aim is to make the simple street turn into a beautiful and attractive scene that only our Professional Pinoy Artists created.

24 Contestants joined in this contest but only 3 was chosen to be a winner. The criteria for judging in this contest will be judge according to Artistic Merits (45%), Relevance to the theme (35%) and Over-all Impact (20%). Champion will take home a special glass trophy and P75,000. The second placer will get a glass trophy and P50,000, while the third placer will going to get a trophy and P30,000.

I am really amazed by these creative Pinoys who joined to this contest and most of all to the person behind this event. Without them, Pinoy Street Painting Artists will not be given a remark by their creations. I am so proud for the great idea of Avida Towers Centera.

Paradizoo Theme Farm: A Healthy Living Place

A lot of us are so busy playing online games in Facebook such as Farmville and Pet Society. With this games, we can learn a lot.. a lot? Okay... some ideas on how to grow some crops and nurture an animal in a right way. But can you imagine doing it in a real life? Planting vegetables or fruits, watering and tending it while waiting them to grow, not just hours but weeks or months before you can totally use it. In Farmville you can use an instant fertilizer and in just one click you can already harvest it. Yes, it's fun but can you eat it? Of course not. So before I get addicted to Cityville... hahaha... might as well go to the place where I can inhale a fresh air. I'm currently living here in Cavite so where else should I go? Tagaytay!

There are a lot of places that you can go to in tagaytay. But there's this one place that I really love to visit everytime I'm in Tagaytay and it's Paradizoo by Residence Inn along National Highway. They also have this 10 hectare rolling terrain land that is located in Mendez, Cavite. In that place, you can see different areas such as Farm Animals Breeding Area, Vegetable and Flower Farm, Honey Bee Farm, Butterfly Garden, Rest and Recreational area and the Perpetual Cemetery. They also have their Café that serves only fresh vegetable and fruits that comes from their farm and you can also experience a delightful organic menu in Paradizoo.

Paradizoo has an exhibit sale for farm enthusiast called “Power of Three”. It is a combination of Livestock, Floral and Vegetable that started last February 5 until March 13, 2011. In that event, you can experience Greyhound Racing, Animal Parade, Vegetable Picking, Animal Auction, Seminars and Organic Fertilizer application.
